Head, MDs Office

Job Description

About The Opportunity

Performance management:

  • Drive business performance management of the MDs’ Office scope, including goal alignment process, evaluating performance, and driving interventions.
  • Act as a "bridge" between local leadership and regional stakeholders to 1) Discuss country performance, 2) Align support from functions, and 3) Align and drive strategic priorities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (commercial, sales, operations, marketing, etc.) in Bangladesh on high-impact projects.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to support the MD in decision-making and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the MD on various cross-functional initiatives, encompassing OKR evaluations, preparation and review of Investment Proposals, active engagement in WBRs, analysis of insights derived from discussions, and involvement in other associated projects.

Thought partnering:

  • Support Country Directors in designing solutions to complex business problems.
  • Conduct research and analysis on key issues and provide recommendations to the MD and relevant local directors.
  • Collaborate with the MD to identify key priorities, align them with department heads/directors, and offer support through analysis and project management as required.
  • Take ownership of competitor-related information gathered from customers, riders, and vendors. Work closely with other department heads/directors, including but not limited to those in pricing, deals/discounts, and overall experience, to stay informed about any relevant movements in the market.

Special projects

  • Driving special initiatives that have top-line / bottom-line impact across Bangladesh.
  • Manage and oversee strategic C-level projects from ideation to execution.
  • Build project plans with end-to-end ownership, from planning through delivery, as required.

What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in management consulting, founder’s office, project management or a related role.
  • Proven track record in leading and executing complex, cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to generate insights and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize competing demands.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with tight deadlines.
  • Experience working in the technology, e-commerce, or food industry is a plus.
